Father's Day with the Bobux Community

FATHER'S DAY WITH THE BOBUX COMMUNITY

This Fathers' Day we're celebrating the ones who care for, support, guide and love our next generation - Dads, Grandpas, Single Dads, Uncles, Stepdads, Mums who Dad, Soon to be Dads, Great Grandads, and all Father Figures.

We had a chat with some of our Bobux community (and their littlies) about what being a parent means to them and what they have planned for this Fathers’ Day.

@daywithdad Father to Farley and Bligh

How are you celebrating this Fathers day?
A family day exploring in the sun (hopefully), followed by a bbq at home. What advice would you give a future Dad? Time is precious. Embrace every moment, it goes too fast.

What is the most important part about being a Dad/Father figure to you?
The little things for me.. The quality time we spend together as a family. The popcorn snuggles on the sofa. The bed time stories and conversations.

(Q for the kids) Tell us the best bit about your Dad/Father figure?
Farley age 4.. He makes me nice food and snacks Daddy gives the best cuddles

@alldadstalk Father to Lucas, Amelie and Philip

How are you celebrating this Fathers day?
Hopefully a day trip (if we are allowed) somewhere in the local woods, on our bikes! Love the fact that Amelie just learnt how to peddle so we can all be on our bikes.

What advice would you give a future Dad?
Take it all in! The excitement, the anxiety, the midnight feeds, the little moments - take them all in. These are the days…

What is the most important part about being a Dad/Father figure to you?
It’s the little things that make a difference in you becoming the go-to person for the little ones so always be there for them no matter what. I’ve learnt this a long time ago when as a kid I wanted to reach out to my dad but business kept him mostly out and about. So I’m striving to be available, there for them when they get a bruise or a cut and need Dad-the-healer, there spending time and moulding the bond that never breaks.

(Q for the kids) Tell us the best bit about your Dad/Father figure?
Lucas: Daddy is the fixer in the house, if it breaks I know he can mend it all.
Amelie: Daddy, you know, I’m a joker just like you

@itsthefergusons Stepdad to Louis and dad to Isla and Ted

How are you celebrating this Fathers day?
We usually celebrate Father's Day by enjoying some quality time together as a family - a long family walk, going to the beach together or a nice family meal.

What advice would you give a future Dad?
Everything is a phase - so when it's tough, remember that it's just a phase. But at the same time, because everything is just a phase, you have to make the most of every second. You won't get it back! I can't believe my youngest is going to be 7!!!

What is the most important part about being a Dad/Father figure to you?
I think the responsibility of shaping an actual future adult is MASSIVE! Everything I say and do is being watched and learnt from, so the pressure really is on. For this reason, I try to be the best version of myself every day. I want my kids to look back when they're older and think that they had a really good, positive role model who paved the way for them. I have to lead by example and lead by service :)

(Q for the kids) Tell us the best bit about your Dad/Father figure?
Ted, "I Love my dad because he is kind and always plays football with me when I ask. He works hard so we can do nice things."

@daddy_to_triplets_and_bro Father to Felix and his IVF triplet sisters, Bertie, Amelie & Etta

How are you celebrating this Fathers day?
A day at home together hopefully not having to lift a finger.

What advice would you give a future Dad?
Don’t panic. Trust your instincts. And enjoy it.

What is the most important part about being a Dad/Father figure to you?
The unconditional love. Being there for them.

(Q for the kids) Tell us the best bit about your Dad/Father figure?
Felix, age 8: He makes great pancakes; he bought me my video games when they cost a lot of money; I love it when he plays water guns with us.
