The back to school period can be both exciting and daunting at the same time. Getting the uniforms, backpacks, books, school supplies and having their shoes fitted is only part of the process of preparing your little ones for their next steps in their educational journey. We have spoken to some members of the Bobux community to get some insights into how they make sure their little learners are ready for the first day of school.

What was the most enjoyable part of the back to school preparation?
I always find back to school preparation rather bittersweet - from the buying of uniforms in the next sizes, to the reminiscing of first day photos from the year before (and the very start of school!) and seeing how much they've grown! However, the most enjoyable part is probably planning that first hot coffee and post-school run pastry in silence without anyone trying to steal it! I also enjoy choosing stationery with the kids for them to take to school! 

Do you have any tips or hacks that make getting ready for school each day easier?
I set out their uniform every night before they go to bed so we're not frantically scrabbling around looking for a matching pair of socks in the morning. It saves so much stress!

For you, what are the most important features when it comes to choosing school shoes for your child?
Definitely comfort - and durability. My children are notorious explorers - both inside and outside of school - so I've found supermarket shoes don't make the grade when they're being used to climb trees on the way home, jump off walls or kick footballs in the playground. Bobux shoes are incredible and (as long as a growth spurt doesn't happen) last a whole school year... and beyond. They're also wonderfully comfortable and soft. 

Questions for the kids:

What is your favourite subject at school?
Bea: Art! I love drawing - I want to be a designer when I'm older.
Henry: Maths! Maths is my favourite thing in the world.

What do you like about your new Bobux School shoes?
Bea: They are really cool! Also, Mummy makes us walk everywhere - and they're very comfy for the school run.
Henry: I like playing on the climbing frame at school - they're good for jumping off the top!

Some one on one time with the kids choosing back to school items and making them feel all excited for their new class. 

Do you have any tips or hacks that make getting ready for school each day easier?
Preparation the night before, lunch boxes, school uniforms and book bags all ready for the morning. 

For you, what are the most important features when it comes to choosing school shoes for your child?
Durability! If they scratch and scuff the first couple of days they end up looking scruffy quickly. So durable toes are always a winner. Also having a 7 year old that is starting to be conscious of how they look, style is important or she will just refuse to wear them.

What is your favourite subject at school?
Annabelle: I love learning about new religions and their beliefs.

What do you like about your new Bobux School shoes?
I love that they’re so comfy and never rub my feet. They’re also very pretty and easy for me to put on because I can’t tie my shoelaces yet :) !

What was the most enjoyable part of the back to school preparation?
We love the uniform preparation. Choosing new shoes and getting new jumpers and shirts. We love doing our first day back photos and videos too.

Do you have any tips or hacks that make getting ready for school each day easier?
Our best tip is getting as much as possible the night before so you know where everything is.

For you, what are the most important features when it comes to choosing school shoes for your child?
Durability and comfort are the two top things. They have to go hand in hand as it's no good being comfortable but falling apart or vice versa.
Easy to name and put on are also important

What is your favourite subject at school?
Kuzey: I like PE, especially football.
Koray: I like maths and PE
Ayaz: I love art, my favourite is painting.

What do you like about your new Bobux School shoes?
Kuzey: I like the straps they are super easy to put on.
Koray: I like them because they look cool and feel nice on my feet.
Ayaz: I like the secret space to put my name on under the strap and they look smart with my uniform.
