Parenthood is one of the most challenging, magical, exasperating and rewarding adventures any of us can undertake. Most parents experience laughs, frustrations, spilled cornflakes, cuddles and grazed knees, but everyone travels a different path on their child’s wild and wonderful journey and we all have varied and vivid stories of heart-burstingly beautiful times, moments when we just want to use the bathroom in peace, and all the everyday bits in between.

We asked Maree from @stella_and_jimmy to share A Day in her Life with her little ones, Stella and Jimmy.

Hi, I'm Maree! I'm from Brisbane, and am a Mum to two beautiful children, Stella aged five, and Jimmy aged two.

DIARY

5.30am 

BREAKFAST

Our day starts early, the kids have always been early risers, I get up with them and help them to make breakfast, and get in my morning coffee!

8.00am 

GETTING READY

We start getting dressed and ready to head out for the morning, usually taking some snacks and our scooters with us

9.00am

PARK

We head to the local park, which has great paths for walking and/or scooting along the river

11.00am

LUNCH

We head home for lunch and Jimmy usually naps while Stella has some quiet time in her room

SNACK TIME

Jimmy wakes, we have an afternoon snack before heading out again for the afternoon

3.30pm

AFTERNOON WALK

We enjoy exploring nature, either some local bushland walks or the beach

BATH & RELAX

We head home for the day, jumping in the bath before the kids chill with some screen time while I prepare dinner

5.30pm

DINNERTIME

Stella and Jimmy are a touch on the fussy side, but homemade fish and chips with some cucumber and avocado on the side is always a winner!

6.30pm

STORYTIME

The kids love having a snuggle in our big bed for storytime

7.00pm

BEDTIME

Stella loves a big cuddle and butterfly kisses as she's tucked in for the night, while Jimmy loves a big 'squeezy' cuddle before choosing a plethora of soft cuddly toys to take to bed with him.
